Domestic Violence/ Abuse Discussion…
Bible Class X
I was so overwhelmed by the amount of people, especially women, that contacted me privately to share their personal experiences and subsequent life challenges in dealing with the aftermath of DV/ DA.
1 in 4 people according to a survey conducted in 2021 have experienced DV or DA in one form or another.
The British Police Service are taking on average over 100 calls per hour concerning violent domestic occurrences.
Many women, that took part in the survey, when asked the question, “why do you stay with your partner,” reply that it is due to fear, or hoping that things will eventually change.
Tomorrow evening from 7:00pm, we will be furthering our discussion on this sensitive matter with the topic entitled, ‘How to Recognise that You are Being Abused.’
Some testified that they are so used to violence that they have become desensitised towards it.
Thank you to all of you brave people that said ‘Me 2,’ last week and shared from extremely personal past events boldly, in order to help others get the victory over their psychological challenges.
Looking forward to sharing with you tomorrow.
